Hops and Props craft beer and cafe comes to St. Pete history museum –

ST. PETERSBURG — The craft beer craze ventures into new territory when Hops & Props opens tonight at the St. Petersburg Museum of History.

The arrangement has been in the works for nearly a year. Officials at the museum have been in a long-term relationship with the owners of Hops & Props, Lucy Ziegler and her son, Eric Starr.

The mother-son duo are no strangers to downtown St. Petersburg. Patrons of Hooker Tea Co. are familiar with their scones and other offerings. But last year they sold their interest at Hooker Tea so they could look around for other options in the city.

Ohio State’s Aaron Craft angrier than ever after No. 20 Buckeyes’ second loss … – The Plain Dealer

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Aaron Craft crossed his arms and gently tapped the back of his head against the brick wall in the concourse of Bryce Jordan Arena. He needed to calm himself before the questions started.

This wasn’t the first time Craft stood in the bowels of an opposing Big Ten arena in defeat. Now a senior, Craft has been there many times before, even in very successful Ohio State seasons. But though he wore familiar mannerisms when the questions started, Craft emerged from the locker room differently. He slammed the door open in frustration, showing an anger that hasn’t been typical during his career.

Jewels Lie Beneath The Violence In The Central African Republic – NPR

Morning Mass began with a hymn on a recent Sunday at the Infant Jesus Catholic Church in the Central African Republic town of Bouar. The Rev. Dominic Mbarta fretted about his sermon. The previous Sunday, when a Polish priest at the church simply asked the congregation to refrain from killing their Muslim neighbors or looting abandoned Muslim houses, the priest was threatened.
"They were so angry," Mbarta says. "They went back grumbling that the priest is not impartial. He is for the Muslims. He's not for the Christians." Across town, there is a mosque where thousands of Muslims are pinned down, unable to move outside a small radius or risk being macheted in the street. In this climate, it's too soon to preach forgiveness, Mbarta says.
